The 6th OAAHC Health Conference was held on Dec 7 and 8, 2012 at the University of Toledo with a theme “Journey to a Healthier Future”. This conference was supported by a grant from the Ohio Commission on Minority Health, ProMedica of Cleveland , the University of Toledo Medical College, the Association of Pacific & Asian American Medical Student Association and  the Ohio Asian American Health Coalition.

The Conference was  attended by  various  health care professionals and allied health, medical and other health profession students, community leaders and members of grassroots organizations as well as representatives from the state, regional and local offices.

There were a number of distinguished speakers who lead an exciting conference designed to educate participants about the Asian communities in both Ohio and internationally and how best to serve their needs. Emphasis was placed on current Asian health issues and the new legislation. Physicians, nurses, students, social workers, and all other health professionals were invited to attend.
